Even though Paul writes to a church in Corinth way before my time, his message is just as relevant today. The issues and weaknesses Paul addresses are timeless. Not only do Paul's words apply to churches (as congregations), but they also apply to me as an individual who believes.
We all get a little distracted, even completely lost sometimes. It happens way too easily right before our eyes, and we don't even realize it. This world we live in is crazy like that.
All of a sudden we just know in our hearts things don't feel right. They don't look right. We become unsettled and restless.
Paul's words are the wake-up call I need every single day. Here's what we need to remember...
16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
When I remember that God is in me and with me everywhere I go, well, it just changes my perspective on everything!
What am I waiting on? There is no need to ever "wait" on God. He's here now.
A prayer for today-
Dear God,
Thank you for blessing me with your Spirit. Thank you for being with me in every moment. I pray for the sense to be aware of your presence in all that I do. Help me know the richness of your power and glory. Show me how to share it with others. I pray that your Spirit will fill and comfort _______________ [name those on your heart] today.
In the name of Jesus I pray,
Amen
Love in Christ,
Good reminder here Lindsay. May we walk in the Spirit daily.
