Micah and Nahum each have their own way of saying things, but I find myself clinging to their words of love, mercy, and grace that stand out like sunshine in a storm.
From Micah,
Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.
And from Nahum,
The Lord is slow to anger but great in power...
The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
There is always hope with God. There is always sunshine with God. No matter what storms in life surround us, God's love is a promise. What an amazing God He is!
Dear Lord and Savior,
I thank you for this day. I thank you for the people you put in my life to be Your strong and comforting arms, blessing me with Your love, mercy, and grace. I pray for those special people this morning. May they feel the power of this prayer and the peace of Your presence. Help me to be a blessing in their lives, especially in their times of need.
In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, I pray,
Amen
Love in Christ,
